Heritage names Hamilton a senior vice president

Heritage Propane
• Jim Hamilton was promoted to senior vice president of sales and operations. Hamilton most recently served as operations vice president for central and Metro Lift operations. He joined Heritage Propane in January 1995, and his career in the propane industry spans more than 25 years of operations experience.

• Steve Sheffield was promoted to senior vice president of marketing and operations. Sheffield most recently served as operations vice president for northeastern operations. He joined Heritage Propane in 1997 as a regional vice president and has more than 30 years of experience in the propane industry.

• Bob Young was promoted to operations vice president for northeast operations. Young came to Heritage with the acquisition of Energy North Propane in 2001. He has more than 24 years of managerial experience in the propane business. He also has served on many state and national industry association boards, along with many non-profit organizations.

JARCO
• Casey Jarvis, the company’s founder, died on July 10 at age 86. He is widely acknowledged as a pioneer in the design, manufacturing and service of truck-mounted tanks for the propane delivery industry. He founded JARCO in 1959 to provide custom delivery trucks to propane retailers and independent marketers. Today, the company, a division of Polar Service Centers, has produced more than 5,000 trucks for customers in more than 20 countries. Jarvis’ mark on the industry includes longtime leadership roles in the National Propane Gas Association and Western Propane Gas Association. For his dedication to the industry, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the WPGA in 2007. Funeral services were held in his hometown of Corona del Mar, Calif.

NFPA
• Wilbur L. “Bill” Walls, who worked for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) from 1962 until his retirement in 1984, and a former member of NPGA’s Technology, Standards & Safety Committee, passed away in May at the age of 87. A registered professional engineer, Walls was an expert in flammable liquids and hazardous chemicals. While at NFPA, Walls developed fire codes and educational programs and films. He served as secretary of the NFPA technical committees on liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum gases. He also worked with and held chair positions in conjunction with national standards committees and represented the public interest on the U.S. Department of Transportation Technical Pipeline Safety Standards Committee.

NGL Energy Partners LP
• Stephen L. Cropper was appointed to the board of directors of its general partner, NGL Energy Holdings LLC. Cropper will serve as an independent director and has also been appointed to serve on the Audit Committee. He brings substantial energy experience to the partnership and has worked in various executive management and governance roles in the energy industry throughout his career.

• Michael Duffy and Joel Hunter were hired as vice presidents of logistics and marketing. Duffy most recently managed asset and marketing functions for ONEOK Partners. Hunter previously managed marketing and logistics activity for Inergy. Duffy and Hunter have more than 20 years of experience in gas marketing.

Polar Corp.
• Frank Lukacs was named president of the Polar Tank Trailer division. Lukacs has more than 33 years of leadership experience in manufacturing businesses. Lukacs replaced Randy Arlt, who served as the division president since 2003 and accepted a new role at Polar’s corporate headquarters as vice president of business development.

• Russ Weybright was named vice president of supply chain management. He has spent his entire 30-year career in supply chain management and plant operations. Based at the company’s Opole, Minn., manufacturing facility, Weybright is responsible for procurement, planning and logistics for the company’s Polar Tank Trailers and Polar Service Centers businesses.

Roush CleanTech
• Brad Beauchamp was appointed fleet sales manager for the western region. He will assist fleet managers in evaluating their operations for the best ways to incorporate propane autogas fuel systems into their fleet. With more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, Beauchamp comes from Clean Cities, where he worked as a regional project manager dealing with infrastructure and deployment of alternative fuel vehicles.

• Melissa Cox will lead the outside sales team for transportation fleet sales. Cox’s emphasis will be propane autogas sustainability solutions for the airport and shuttle industries while supporting both public and private fleets. She was promoted from the company’s inside sales department.

Sherwood Valve
• Tim Madden was appointed national OEM sales manager. Madden has more than 10 years of sales, marketing and product development experience in the compressed gases and aerospace industries. He previously worked as national sales manager for Superior Products and Western Enterprises and worked in product management for Transdigm’s Aerocontrolex Group.
