Working with Ferrellgas
“At Ferrellgas, I serve a dual role of helping the company in its acquisitions efforts and participating in industry initiatives to promote broad success. As acquisitions are a key strategy for our company’s continued growth, I enjoy connecting with company owners across the western states. Having experienced the sale of JARCO in 2010, I relate closely with the sellers’ concerns.”
Getting Started
“My dad, Casey Jarvis, put me to work at his bobtail-building company, JARCO, when he was 80 years old. An engineer, innovator and prince of a guy, he finally stepped aside and I came on board as owner and president of a nationwide company founded in 1959.”
Supporting female leadership
“I’ve held several leadership roles in industry relations on state and national levels, but I put [the creation] of the Women in Propane Council at the top of the list. Introducing a culture of learning, coaching and mentoring has positively affected many careers and companies and has made our industry more attractive to job seekers. An industry that supports women’s advancement is one that shows promise for a robust future.”
Best advice you’ve ever received
“Always be learning and asking questions.”
Hobbies
“My avocation is learning powerful ways to develop the next generation of leaders using successful training and mentoring programs. Outside of work I enjoy connecting with my six grandkids, creating art, traveling far and wide, and occasionally dragging my golf clubs to the course.”
