November 6, 2019 By

Minnesota-based All Safe Global (ASG), a provider of compressed gas equipment, purchased Arizona-based Thunderbird Cylinder.

Thunderbird Cylinder has provided compressed gas cylinder requalification, refurbishment and maintenance services for more than 70 years.

“All Safe Global’s acquisition of Thunderbird expands our presence in the western United States and is an important step toward realizing our vision of building a national network of cylinder requalification centers,” says Matt Boettner, president and CEO of ASG. “Thunderbird’s core values and strong reputation for compliance, safety and service bolsters ASG’s long tradition of providing our customers with industry-leading products and services.”

ASG and Thunderbird both offer hydrostatic testing, ultrasonic examination, cylinder refurbishment, visual inspection and a wide variety of replacement products, equipment customization and branding services.

“Both companies come to the table with a wealth of experience and a shared vision of compliance and service,” says Thunderbird Cylinder owner Fred Nachman. “Together, we look forward to blending our expertise, bringing exceptional and standardized services on a national scale to the compressed gas industry.”

The merger will enhance ASG’s ability to provide new and current customers with quality products and fast turnaround times, says the company.

ASG’s customers include welding gas, specialty gas, craft beer, cold brewed coffee, cylinder waste disposal and alternative fuel providers. The company operates warehouse, service facilities and office space in the Midwest and Southwest.
