Alliance AutoGas earns LPG evacuation pump patent

Alliance AutoGas received its first patent on its LPG evacuation pump. The pump is designed to completely empty autogas tanks so internal repairs can be performed. This pump works for all liquid propane injection systems and ensures safety and that no fuel is wasted, the company says. The LPG evacuation pump allows the evacuation of autogas into any other certified cylinder or LPG tank, including another vehicle. The unit is powered by an air compressor – thereby removing any need for an ignition source in the machinery – that connects two tanks with a qualified LPG hose, the company adds. When fuel evacuation is complete, technicians may safely begin work on the faulty component.
