AltaGas to develop propane export site in British Columbia

July 31, 2015 By

AltaGas Ltd. plans to develop a propane export site in British Columbia, Canada.

According to a press release, the facility will have the capability to ship 25,000 barrels per day. AltaGas’ natural gas processing infrastructure and Petrogas Energy Corp.’s logistics network are expected to supply the export facility.

AltaGas says it has also started to develop a liquid separation and handling facility near Fort St. John, British Columbia, which will serve producers in the Montney region of the province. The site is connected by rail to western Canada and North American markets, according to AltaGas. In addition, the company recently expanded its propane export capabilities at its Petrogas-owned Ferndale facility in Washington.
