Amthor develops training program, adding jobs

Amthor International partnered with the Virginia Technical Institute to develop Amthor University, a customized training program to help job seekers gain the required skills to work for the company.

Amthor University launches its four- to five-week training program Oct. 5. Graduates of Amthor University at Virginia Technical Institute will be guaranteed employment with Amthor upon completion of the training.

Amthor, a tank manufacturer, also plans to add 30 jobs to its 100-person workforce at its plant in Gretna, Va., to meet the company’s production requirements. Amthor will hire welders, mechanics, electricians and tank cleaners.
