Blossman Gas acquires Miller’s Bottled Gas

Blossman Gas Inc. acquired Miller’s Bottled Gas, a family owned company based in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Prior to the acquisition, Miller’s served the community for over 70 years. According to Stuart Weidie, Blossman CEO, the Miller family ran a customer-oriented business, which is consistent with how Blossman operates.

“We want to keep the traditions in terms of customer service,” Weidie says.

New branch manager, Bart Moffett, is looking forward to taking the reins at the new branch. According to Blossman, the team includes both former Miller’s employees and new Blossman employees. Blossman also plans to invest in the community by hiring new positions, including an administrator, service technicians and salespeople.

“We are excited to be up and running in time for the winter season so that there is no interruption to customer service,” Moffett says. “We are proud to be part of this community.”

According to Blossman, the store will also temporarily retain its current name to honor the Miller family and its history, a unique exception made by the company during an acquisition.
