Blue Cow Software released the Ignite phone app 1.0, a smartphone app that allows customers to manage their fuel supply, to the public.

“Fuel oil and propane dealers have been looking for a way to have a branded app in the iOS and Android app stores,” says Mark Nardone, president and founder of Blue Cow Software. “We are proud to solve this problem for our customers and the industry.”

The smartphone app allows users to log into their account, view account information, order fuel, make payments and use other management tools. The app is branded with the energy company’s name and logo so it is easy for customers to find it in the app store, the company says.

“This new app is the perfect companion to our Ignite web product. Eighty-five percent of the time people spend on their smartphones are spent in apps so this is the new logical step for the industry to improve their customer service,” says Joe Wilson, product manager at Blue Cow Software.
