Blue Rhino partners with Hershey to offer grilling tools

August 14, 2014 By

Blue Rhino formed a partnership with North American chocolate maker The Hershey Company to create a line of Hershey’s S’mores grilling accessories that will include grilling baskets, marshmallow sticks, melting trays and utensils.

A s’more features a toasted marshmallow and half of a chocolate bar sandwiched between two graham crackers. The first recipe for s’mores is widely believed to have been published in 1927 in the Girl Scout Handbook. The Hershey Company says it makes more than 373 million Hershey’s milk chocolate bars a year, enough for 746 million s’mores.

“Hershey’s S’mores grilling accessories will further establish Hershey’s as the only chocolate to use when making the ultimate s’more,” says Marc Zemel, president, Blue Rhino Products U.S. “The products will emphasize the interactive, fun nature of creating the treat, while making the process easier and safer.”

The products will be available in early 2015 at mass retailers and grocery stores. The suggested retail prices will range from $2.99 to $14.99.
