Cargas Systems names energy business unit sales manager
Cargas Systems named Barry Ackerman as sales manager in the company’s energy business unit.
Ackerman, formerly a sales consultant for the company’s energy business unit, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales team, coordinating the efforts of the sales consultants and product specialists responsible for establishing relationships with Cargas customers.
Prior to joining the company, Ackerman spent more than 35 years in the software industry, with four years dedicated to selling software to the energy industry. He’s held roles in product development, partner relationships, product marketing, sales management and direct sales.
“Barry joined Cargas in May with deep knowledge and experience in complex business software sales,” says Dennis DiSabatino, vice president of Cargas Systems. “It soon became evident that his experience in sales management would benefit our team as we continue to grow. It is crucial that we have an experienced sales manager overseeing the team day-to-day and driving strategic initiatives.”
