Chesapeake Utilities, Gatherco merge

Chesapeake Utilities Corp. completed a merger with Gatherco Inc., based in Orrville, Ohio, forming a subsidiary in Aspire Energy of Ohio LLC. According to a press release, Chesapeake provides natural gas, electricity and propane distribution. Gatherco shareholders approved the merger on March 20.

With the merger complete, Aspire Energy will provide natural gas midstream services and processing and transportation services to more than 300 producers. It will also provide wholesale natural gas supply to more than 30,000 end users in Ohio.
