Dead River president, CEO plans to retire

Robert Moore, Dead River Co.’s president and CEO, plans to retire next summer.

Moore has served as the president and CEO of the Maine-based company for seven years. He began working for Dead River Co. in 1995 when he was hired as general counsel and vice president of administration.

According to Mainebiz, Moore will continue to serve on Dead River Co.’s board of directors after retirement.

Mainebiz reports the company’s board of directors promoted Deanna Sherman, vice president of energy, to be the company’s president as of Jan. 1. She will also take on the role of CEO in July after Moore retires. Sherman, who joined the company in 1986, currently leads the company’s operations, sales and marketing.
