EDP names executive vice president, COO

Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) named propane industry veteran Boyd H. McGathey as executive vice president and COO.

McGathey brings about 30 years of propane industry experience to the role, having served in a variety of senior level positions where he managed retail operations, sales, safety, service quality, customer retention and profitability, among other responsibilities, EDP says. He most recently served as COO for WESROC Monitoring Solutions.

Prior to that, McGathey held executive positions with a number of multi-state marketers, including Inergy Propane, Liberty Propane and Ferrellgas. Additionally, McGathey is a board member of the International Young Gassers Association.
