Donaldson engine filter monitor uses telematics

Donaldson Co.’s Filter Minder technology monitors truck engine air filters. Using trucks’ telematic systems, Filter Minder wireless sensors and receivers transmit filter performance data to the cloud. From there, predictive analytics inform fleet managers when filters’ optimal lives are nearly over. Filter Minder is easy to install and simple to use, the company says. Wireless installation occurs in minutes and battery life is prolonged due to low-energy sensors. The technology’s scalable platform can expand to monitor a variety of filters, including fuel, hydraulics and lube.
