Enterprise to expand LP gas export facility further

September 25, 2013 By

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is planning an additional expansion of its LP gas export terminal on the Houston Ship Channel in Texas. Enterprise says the expansion will increase its loading capacity by an additional 1.5 million barrels per month. That’s the equivalent of three cargoes per month, according to a press release.

The expansion will increase total design capacity to about 9 million barrels per month, and the project is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2015.

Enterprise previously completed an expansion of its LP gas export terminal in March of this year. That expansion increased its propane-loading capacity to about 7.5 million barrels per month from 4 million barrels per month. The facility is currently loading more than 8 million barrels per month of refrigerated, low-ethane propane.
