F.W. Webb opens Middlebury, Vermont, facility

F.W. Webb Co. opened its newest wholesale location at 139 Industrial Ave. in Middlebury, Vermont. The 35,000-sq.-ft. building services Middlebury College, downtown Middlebury and the surrounding communities.
“Based on customer input, we identified Middlebury as a community that would benefit from our 16 areas of expertise, especially with the breadth of product we maintain on-site,” says Bob Mucciarone, COO of F.W. Webb. “For everyone from one-van contractors to institutional operations managers, we provide the vital resources needed to construct and maintain facilities and infrastructure across the region.”
“Our wholesale store is uniquely positioned to fulfill pressing needs for building materials in this area,” says Brian Bradley, general manager of F.W. Webb’s Middlebury operations. “We’re investing here to ensure our customers have dependable, efficient solutions nearby for every phase of every project.”
Benefits for trade professionals
F.W. Webb’s wholesale store provides a full-service experience with end-to-end project solutions, offering:
- Selection – The location offers plumbing, heating, HVAC, industrial and other general work products. Contractors can find tools, HVAC units, replacement parts, accessories, cleaning supplies and more on-site. A large storage yard stocks pipe, valves, fittings and additional materials for other projects, including F.W. Webb’s Water Works division.
- Convenience – Trade professionals receive assistance at the self-serve counter. Plus, the F.W. Webb team takes orders via text, email and fwwebb.com, with pickups at a dedicated will-call center, while daily deliveries bring orders directly to shops or job sites.
- Expertise – Bradley’s team is available to share product guidance and technical support.
- Training – A training center for 15 people accommodates skilled tradespeople for certifications, product demonstrations and other industry-related education.
To support these solutions, an 11-member team is in place at the facility, with plans to add an additional staff member in the near future.
“Our philosophy is simple: ‘We’ve got it,’ whether it’s a single press fitting, a rooftop unit delivered to the job site, seamless support or manufacturer-backed training,” says Bradley. “We look to make a real difference for our customers regardless of their project scope.”
Interactive showroom
Alongside the wholesale operation, a modern Frank Webb Home showroom will feature kitchen, bath and lighting solutions for homeowners, designers and contractors. They can explore working displays, including a Mr. Steam installation, operational showers, fully functional vignettes and a dog wash station. The Frank Webb Home team is completing the final preparations for the showroom, with an opening date to be announced soon online.
“We look forward to welcoming Middlebury and Addison County residents into our showroom, where they will discover our diverse selection of the highest quality products from leading manufacturers,” says Tom Blake, manager of Frank Webb Home’s Middlebury showroom. “When we work with customers, we consider both design elements and practical requirements to help them choose options that fit their budget, style and long-term vision.”
Looking forward
While the wholesale store is now open, a grand opening celebration will be held in the near future. This new location is part of F.W. Webb’s strategic expansion across the Northeast. Approaching its 160th anniversary, F.W. Webb continues to build, with recent facility investments in Rochester, New York; Swanzey, New Hampshire; and Canastota, New York.
