FCCC enhances propane engine option

Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp.’s (FCCC) S2G comes with two engine options – an 8.0 liter and an 8.8 liter from FCCC’s DriveForce lineup, its line of proprietary non-diesel engines for the commercial market. The DriveForce 8.8 liter features upgrades and enhancements, with maximum fuel efficiency and emissions certification, the company says. The 8.8 liter provides 270 hp at 2,600 rpm and 565 lb.-ft. at 1,500 rpm. The S2G also houses a 60-gallon LPG fuel tank, has a gross vehicle weight rating of 33,000 pounds and features Allison 2500RDS and 2550RDS automatic transmissions with PTO provision.
