Ferrellgas acquires Dubben Gas Service

Overland Park, Kansas-based Ferrellgas acquired Dubben Gas Service of Delhi, New York.

For more than a century, Dubben Gas Service has served customers throughout the Catskill region. The company will still operate out of the original Main Street, Delhi, location used by company founder A.W. Dubben when he started the business in 1906 with retail hardware, propane sales and service, and HVAC installations.

Randy Brown and Jerry Davis are fourth generation Dubben family members. After meeting with the team at Ferrellgas, they decided the time was right to transition their propane business to a company that could offer their customers a wide array of energy products and services.

Davis and Brown will now focus their attention on the retail hardware store and HVAC installations. Those businesses were not part of the sale and will remain independently run under their leadership.

Blue Peak Resources, a consulting firm specializing in propane gas and fuel oil mergers and acquisitions, advised Dubben Gas Service on the sale.
