Fleet technology delivers data to improve vehicle performance

The Detroit Connect suite of connected vehicle services by Daimler Trucks North America delivers actionable information to improve uptime and vehicle performance, says the company. Detroit Connect Virtual Technician, a remote diagnostic service for Freightliner and Western Star trucks equipped with Detroit engines, notifies fleets when vehicles experience fault events, as well as where and how to best fix the issue. Detroit Connect Analytics provides users with on-demand, automated reports detailing fuel efficiency and safety performance data, which can be used to identify behaviors, trends, root causes and additional insights for fleets. Detroit Connect Remote Updates reduces the need to physically connect the vehicle to initiate engine parameter changes and accept updates. Users can change select settings on multiple trucks from a single location and at the same time.
