Dick Lowe, who served the Michigan Propane Gas Association as president in 1963 and 1964, has died. He was 90.

Lowe founded Lowe’s Gas in 1948 in Dimondale, Mich., behind the support of 23 customers. Lowe’s business grew over the years, lasting four generations. He sold the business to a family member in 1965, and it was renamed Lowe Bros. & Dad Inc.

Lowe switched industries in the latter half of his career to operate a construction company in Florida. He retired from a senior management position with Collier and Collier Construction in Naples, Fla.
