Former PGANE president takes position with Lin’s Propane Trucks

December 4, 2017 By

In an interview with LP GasJoe Rose, former president of the Propane Gas Association of New England (PGANE), said that even after retirement he planned to stay involved in the industry. True to his word, Rose has taken a part-time position with Lin’s Propane Trucks as a goodwill ambassador and outside salesman.

Rose spent nearly 35 years in the propane industry. For the last 10 years of his career, he served as the president of PGANE, retiring from the position in early 2017. Even while discussing his retirement, Rose was candid about his plan to continue working in the industry. “I can’t go from 100 mph to 0,” he says.

In addition to his part-time position with Lin’s, in August the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) appointed Rose to serve as a councilor for the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC). He replaced Doug Rinke as one of PERC’s public members. Rose also continues to serve as a facilitator for the NPGA Benchmarking Council.

According to Rose, “I’m keeping my brain in the game!”
