Generator connects to energy management system

The Generac Guardian by Generac is an air-cooled generator with 24 kilowatts of power. Built in the U.S., this standby generator delivers power with less than 5 percent total harmonic distortion for clean, smooth operation of sensitive electronics and appliances, says the company. It also features a multilingual LCD display that allows users to monitor battery status and track maintenance intervals. In addition, homeowners can now get home energy insights with PWRview, a home energy management system that monitors electricity usage and provides an in-depth look at where electrical waste occurs. The Generac Guardian can be powered by natural gas or propane.
