Haven Energy proposes export terminal on West Coast

May 13, 2014 By

Haven Energy Terminals LLC plans to invest about $275 million to build and operate a propane and butane export terminal at the Port of Longview in Longview, Wash., the company announced. Haven Energy would lease the port property to accommodate a rail-unloading facility, storage tanks and a vessel-loading area, according to a press release. Product would arrive at the terminal by rail from the Bakken region of North Dakota for refrigeration, storage and load-out on ships for use throughout the Pacific rim, the company says. Haven Energy, a subsidiary of Sage Midstream, says the project has a 21-month construction period.
