IHS Markit to host LPG event in Houston

March 8, 2019 By

The IHS Markit International LPG Seminar & Workshops, a gathering of NGL industry decision-makers from around the globe for more than 30 years, will be held April 2-5 in Houston.

The 32nd International LPG Seminar – to take place at the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria – will address the theme: “Adjusting Your LPG/NGL Strategy in a Volatile and Turbulent Global Energy Market.” More than 200 attendees are expected.

Sharp movements in crude oil prices have altered the outlook for NGL/LPG production and pricing. This year’s event will provide in-depth market analysis and coverage of the most important issues facing the global LPG/NGL industry, including:

  • Will LPG become more valuable as a chemical feedstock than as a residential fuel in emerging markets?
  • What would be the impact of recession in the medium term on LPG availability and demand?
  • Will President Trump’s tariff war with China affect LPG’s competitiveness against LNG in China?
  • Will U.S. and China trade tensions stall or end the largest U.S. ethane export project planned to date?
  • Will emerging LPG markets provide enough demand to replace slowing LPG demand growth in major LPG markets like China, India and Indonesia?

LP Gas readers can receive a registration discount by entering the code LPG15 on the event webpage.
