Internal relief performance among regulators’ improvements

The Fisher CS800 and CS820 Series regulators have been launched and will be available for sale this month. These CS800 types replace all of the S201 and S202 types with setpoints up to 5.5 psig/0.5 bar. The S200 types will be phased out by mid-November. The CS800 offers a host of improvements over the S200, including improved internal relief performance, improved stability, simplified maintenance, only requiring standard tools for orifice removal, and enhanced corrosion resistance, the company says. In addition, high capacity relief is now available with a 2½ NPT spring case vent that offers a vast improvement over basic internal relief, according to the company.
