Lakes Gas Co. founder dies at 94

Howard Sargeant, founder of Lakes Gas Co., died on Oct. 27 at the age of 94. Sargeant was a past president of the Minnesota Propane Association and was awarded the Brusinger Award for distinguished service to the industry. Sargeant was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He founded Lakes Gas Co. in 1959 and played an active role in the company up until September 2017.
