Landscapers to see propane mowers at Kentucky show

October 22, 2013 By

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) plans to showcase six propane-powered mowers Oct. 23-25 at GIE+Expo, a lawn and landscape show in Louisville, Ky. Exmark, Gravely, Hustler, Kubota, Toro and Ventrac mowers will be on display at GIE+Expo. In addition, Generac’s LP3250 and LP5500 propane-fueled portable generators will be on display to provide on-site power for handheld equipment from Oregon, including a string and hedge trimmer, chainsaw and pole saw. A Ford F-550 pickup truck with a Roush CleanTech liquid propane autogas fuel system rounds out the equipment in the PERC booth.

Additional in-booth activities include the Path to Propane exhibit and Wall of Propane Fame. According to PERC, the Path to Propane exhibit will demonstrate how propane offers an easy, affordable, clean and domestic solution. An interactive quiz game will put attendees’ knowledge to the test for a chance to win prizes, including a propane-fueled portable generator for contractors and a Demo Day Event hosted by PERC for dealers. The Wall of Propane Fame will feature testimonials from successful dealers and contractors.
