Lock America enters South America market
Lock America of Corona, California, completed a sale of its fill valve and POLocks to Abastible of Santiago, Chile, through its new distributor Global Gas Equipment, a supplier of natural gas and propane hardware throughout South and Central America.
Abastible turned to Lock America in response to extraction of gas from its storage tanks and illegal filling of customer tanks. The government has little enforcement capacity.
“Supplying traditional gas companies with locking systems is proving to be very effective,” says industry executive Guillermo Riquelme.
Lock America CEO Frank Minnella looks forward to this expansion of its international market.
“There are opportunities to increase propane security awareness in South and Central America,” he says. “Our full range of security products can meet this market’s needs just as we meet North America’s, and we look forward to a beneficial arrangement with Global Gas.”
Abastible distributes a full range of technological solutions and certificated equipment to its clients and maintains free trade agreements with North America and Europe, as well as its neighboring countries in South America. Lock America’s fill valve and POLock join their product lists. Both locks feature a pick-resistant keyway and registered key codes unique to each company. These locks can also be keyed to many of Lock America’s other security locks.
