LPG smart meters connect to the cloud with LoRa technology

The integration of Semtech’s LoRa devices into Cavagna Group’s new smart metering solutions was made possible by Mesura Metering, the Cavagna subsidiary entrusted with developing Cavagna’s metering division. Mesura Metering’s LoRa-based smart meters work by embedding LoRa devices to connect the meter to a cloud platform. LPG utilities can then view and analyze all meter data by using Cavagna’s service platform or any third-party application connected to the embedded layers of Cavagna REST services. This enables utilities to offer a new service with innovative billing models that are advantageous for end users, while ensuring gas usage and gas levels in LPG tanks continue to be monitored.
