Mobile generator’s onboard LP tank provides up to 24 hours of run time
Kohler Engines expanded its mobile generator product line by adding a fourth model that is able to run on propane. The 30REZGT, which was developed in cooperation with the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), features a 3-liter industrial powertrain engine. Like older models, Kohler says it includes an onboard LP tank that provides up to 24 hours of run time when the generator is used at sites without a dedicated propane supply. Operators can switch to an on-site propane supply when one is available. The mobile generators can provide the rental, commercial, construction, and utility sectors with reliable backup power in any situation, according to PERC. The 30REZGT produces fewer emissions and toxins because it is run on propane. When using the generator on a jobsite, there’s no risk of groundwater contamination because it’s run on propane, Kohler says.
