New Hampshire awards event draws energy secretary to EnerTrac

June 7, 2011 By

U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch and University of New Hampshire President Mark Huddleston visited EnerTrac in conjunction with the NH 2011 Green Launching Pad Awards, presented to New Hampshire-based companies engaged in reducing the carbon footprint. As one of the 2010 award winners, EnerTrac was chosen for the site of this year’s awards because of its growth and ability to help propane marketers reduce their cost of delivery and related emissions, the company said. Because EnerTrac monitors report propane usage every hour, Chu encouraged the company to make the data available through multiple portals to allow homeowners to see their usage by hour.
