New Mexico opposes propane-regulation bill

House Bill 512, providing for the regulation of propane dealers, has been introduced in the New Mexico Legislature. The legislation, which is heading toward a hearing in the House Business and Industry Committee, would create a new advisory committee with broad and unprecedented authority. The New Mexico Propane Gas Association is requesting and strongly enrecouraging its members to contact legislators to voice strong opposition to the bill.
