Nexio exhibited its Class 7 single-axle truck at this year’s Southeastern & International Propane Expo.

The propane-fueled truck, in development as a bobtail for the U.S. market, features a 7.2-liter, supercharged V8 engine. In addition to the liquid propane fuel system, the company is touting a four-point air-ride cabin for driver comfort, air disk brakes, an Allison 3500 RDS transmission and ground-level access to a delivery ticket printing system.

The truck also now includes a wider step design, which will be produced in the second half of this year for customer test vehicles. It’s also touting operational cost savings over diesel of $20,000 per year while significantly reducing NOx emissions; safety features, including an even weight distribution from front to back; tight turning radius and clear driver visibility.
