November 2017: LP Gas PhotoDrop

Check out a photo slideshow of some recent LP gas-related events, including the North Carolina Propane Gas Association’s annual convention and more.

1. Stu Soycher, center, a long-time employee of Paraco Gas, was awarded the Pat Armentano Legacy Award, which formally recognizes employees who follow and live by the core values and culture fostered by Paraco’s founder, Pat Armentano.

2. The National Propane Gas Association named Greg Gumbel as the keynote speaker for its 2018 Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo on April 6-8 in Atlanta. Gumbel, a CBS Sports broadcaster, will speak at 3 p.m. April 6 at the Georgia World Congress Center. With more than 40 years of experience in the business, Gumbel has become a well-known announcer in sports television. He has covered everything from Major League Baseball to the National Basketball Association, National Football League (NFL), the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament, the Summer and Winter Olympic games and the Daytona 500. He is a three-time Emmy award winner and the 2007 honoree of the Pat Summerall Award for his outstanding work in broadcasting.

3. The North Carolina Propane Gas Association named Jeff Ruffner, left, of EnergyUnited Propane as chairman of the board of directors. He was honored at the association’s annual convention, where it celebrated its 60th anniversary.

4. Tucker Perkins, president and CEO of the Propane Education & Research Council, speaks at Humble Independent School District. The district runs 47 propane-powered buses, which transport about 12,000 students.

5. The World LPG Forum, held in Marrakech, Morocco, boasted 117 exhibiting companies. The event, held over two-and-a-half days, featured speakers, sessions and the 2017 Global Technology Conference.
