Ohio farm show features propane-fueled technology

September 17, 2013 By

The Farm Science Review will display propane-fueled equipment for agricultural producers on Sept. 17-19 in London, Ohio, near Columbus.

The Ohio Propane Education & Research Council booth, at 658 Swine Ave., will feature the latest propane technology, including a Ford work truck, a commercial mower and a standby generator.

Producers interested in purchasing a propane-fueled grain dryer or other eligible propane-fueled farm equipment can apply for a financial incentive through the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) Propane Farm Incentive Program. The research initiative offers up to $5,000 toward the purchase of a grain dryer; the program also covers swine heating systems and other fuel-efficient equipment for the farm.

PERC also offers the Propane Mower Incentive Program, where producers can earn up to $1,000 for the purchase of a qualified new propane mower and $500 toward a new propane mower conversion kit.
