Otodata offers hardware as a service program

Otodata’s hardware as a service (HaaS) program bundles its tank monitor, online portal and customizable branded app into one monthly payment. The company launched the program to respond to the upcoming shutdown of 3G networks. The failure of a tank monitor can result in fuel runouts, unprofitable deliveries and several other issues that are time-consuming and costly, but Otodata’s devices were developed with an eye toward the latest advances in cellular technology, says the company. Its units will not be affected by the shutdown, it says. The program involves a lease for the monitor, so there is no upfront cost, as well as an extended warranty for the length of the contract. Otodata also provides service and support.
