Overtime rule scheduled to take effect Dec. 1 now delayed

November 28, 2016 By

A Texas judge issued an injunction on the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) final overtime rule, the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) reports.

The new rule was scheduled to take effect Dec. 1. According to NPGA, the injunction temporarily delays the effective date until a court reviews a lawsuit and makes a decision. The delay is a procedural measure, the association adds. The court has not yet indicated how it will rule on the regulation.

Sarah Reboli, director of regulatory affairs at NPGA, offered some insight to LP Gas earlier this month on how the new rule will impact retail propane companies. Learn more about the expected impact here.
