PERC leadership changing hands in July

April 26, 2013 By

Paula Wilson, the director of marketing at AmeriGas Propane, is expected to become the next chairman of the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC).

Wilson was the only nominee for the position announced at the council meeting on April 12 in Atlanta.

She would begin her two-year term at PERC’s next meeting, in July in New York City, following the nomination process, and she would succeed PERC Chairman Joe Armentano of Paraco Gas, who led his final meeting in Atlanta.

Wilson has been with AmeriGas for 30 years. She served on PERC committees from 1997-2009, became a council member in 2009 and was elected to the executive committee as vice chairman, marketers, in 2010.

Other nominations included Eric Benson of JS West & Co. for vice chairman, marketers; Michael Barnes of BP Energy Co. for vice chairman, producers; Robert Barry of Bergquist for treasurer; and John Simcox of ThompsonGas and Tom Van Buren of Ferrell North America for secretary.
