PERC seeks comments for two proposed programs

October 28, 2015 By

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) announced a call for comments on two proposed PERC programs for 2016.

The 2016 residential and commercial market outreach program, which will cost more than $2.1 million, will provide construction professionals, key decision makers like homeowners, and the propane industry with information to specify, safely install and maintain propane appliances. Swanson Russell will serve as the lead vendor for the project. New data, PERC says, will allow the council to target programmatic activities and messages more effectively and decrease unnecessary allocations of resources, which might secure leads for continued interaction with construction professionals.

The 2016 Partnership with States program, which will cost $1.8 million, supports the state foundations and councils by providing matching funds to specific state rebate-funded safety, training and market development activities. PERC says partnership activities target external audiences such as residential consumers, homebuilders, farmers, landscape professionals, fleet managers and fire service personnel. In 2016, this program will include activities that support PERC’s restored consumer education function, the council says.

According to PERC, the council must solicit comments before approving any proposed project that costs more than $1.5 million.

The council meets Nov. 5-6 in Boca Raton, Fla.
