Pickens to speak at alternative fuels conference

Texas billionaire and alternative energy proponent T. Boone Pickens, founder and chairman of BP Capital Management, will be one of the featured speakers at the Alternative Fuels & Vehicles National Conference and Expo on April 19-22 in Orlando, Fla. Pickens is noted for the “Pickens Plan,” a national energy campaign that promotes solar and wind power. He’s achieved his goal of starting a national conversation, and now he wants the federal government to bring about change. Pickens is a powerful voice in addressing the twin threats of economic vulnerability and national security. Other speakers include Gen. Wesley Clark and Jeff Schuster, executive director of global forecasting for the consulting firm J.D. Power and Associates.
