Pressure monitoring system utilizes cellular units

November 8, 2012 By

Independent Technologies’ WESROC remote monitoring system uses cellular units that employ hydrostatic pressure sensors to measure tank levels. The pressure sensors can be installed inside or outside of tanks up to 60 feet tall, and they automatically adjust for atmospheric pressure variations.

The internal battery of the cellular unit powers the entire system. The company says a five-year battery life can be expected, with daily reporting and alerts, and monitoring fees are inexpensive. WESROC’s satellite monitors also can be used with the hydrostatic pressure units.
