RegO develops emergency shutoff valve with electric actuator

August 21, 2019 By

RegO’s EA6010 emergency shutoff valve (ESV) is made for installation in liquid transfer lines at LP gas or anhydrous ammonia bulk plants to provide quick shutoff of liquid or vapor flow in the event of an accidental pull-away, line break or hose rupture. The valve comes fully assembled with an electric actuator and withstands tough environments such as the hydraulic shock of sudden closings, piping strains and temperature variations, explains the company. A fusible element melts at 212 degrees F, allowing the valve to close when exposed to fire. The ESV is available in threaded and flanged 1.25-, 2- and 3-in. pipe sizes.
