Safety system incorporates gas sensor, gas shutoff devices

April 9, 2015 By

Flowtech Safety SystemsFlowtech Safety Systems detects propane, natural gas or carbon monoxide in a home and will shut off the gas supply source. The system incorporates gas sensor, control panel and gas shutoff devices. When a small amount of gas is detected, the system sends a signal to its control panel, which activates the gas shutoff device. Once the gas is shut down, it is impossible to put it back on until the leak has been rectified, according to the company. The same holds true for its carbon monoxide sensors. The system installed with gas and carbon monoxide sensors can shut the gas down in the event of a fire, since residential fires produce carbon monoxide in the smoke, the company adds.
