Shovel Barrier protects underground gas lines

The Shovel Barrier adds a shield to underground polyethylene gas lines to help prevent leaks caused by someone excavating in the proximity of a gas line. Shovel Barrier is a geotextile that provides direct protection against excavation, as well as warning labeling and color identification. It is also locatable and includes a copper-clad steel tracer wire in a polyethylene coating. The product comes in a 14.5-pound portable roll and features bold text for the warning labeling. Each roll measures 150-ft. long by 5.5-in. wide by .078-in. thick. The product complies with current NFPA 58 standards.
