SkyBitz introduces portal, mobile app

November 15, 2016 By

SkyBitz launched the SMARTank portal and mobile app in order to support the company’s strategy of providing solutions to lower users’ operating costs, the company says.

TankLink, a tank monitoring and data provider, changed its name to SkyBitz Tank Monitoring as part of a corporate restructuring earlier this year. The SMARTank portal, previously known as TankDataOnline under the TankLink brand, delivers all of the critical tank level information needed to make inventory management decisions. The SMARTank app allows inventory managers, suppliers and distributors to access tank information anywhere on their mobile devices. The app is available for download from both the Google Play store for Android devices and iTunes for Apple devices.

According to SkyBitz, both the SMARTank portal and mobile app enable users to access tank level information, trends, logging and reports. It also sends notifications, alerts and alarms based on the criteria set. A non-branded version of the app is available for use by third-party suppliers and distributors. In addition, the portal and app help to eliminate product run-outs, reduce emergency deliveries, route delivery vehicles and locate tanks via GPS.

“As we continue to grow our SkyBitz portfolio, it made sense to incorporate a tank monitoring analytics program that complements our petroleum logistics, enterprise fleets and local fleets business units so well,” says Henry Popplewell, SkyBitz president. “We look forward to continuing to service our customers with a variety of commercial telematics solutions to help them quickly and cost effectively improve their business efficiencies and realize a rapid return on investment.”
