Superior Plus mourns loss of board member
Richard Bradeen, a Superior Plus Corp. board member, died at age 67 after a battle with kidney cancer.
Bradeen was born May 18, 1956, in Quebec, Canada. He attended Lower Canada College and Queen’s University.
Bradeen began his career at Clarkson Gordon (later Ernst & Young) in 1978. He held increasingly senior roles during 19 years with the firm, including the role of president of the corporate finance group in Toronto as well as partner.
In 1997, he returned to Montreal to launch a second career in planes, trains and snowmobiles at Bombardier Inc. Bradeen served as the senior vice president of strategy of mergers and acquisitions, pension investments, corporate audit services and risk assessment for the company.
Bradeen served on the Superior Plus board of directors since May 2015. He also served as a director on the boards of Goodwill Industries and Stantec.
“On behalf of Superior’s board of directors and employees, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Bradeen’s family and friends,” Chairman David Smith says in a news release. “Richard brought a wealth of experience, wisdom and insight to Superior gained through his distinguished career. Richard will be greatly missed by all that knew him.”
