ThompsonGas acquires West Virginia retailer

ThompsonGas acquired the assets of Sun Propane Inc. based in Bradley, West Virginia.

According to ThompsonGas, Sun Propane will merge with ThompsonGas’ operations in Beckley, West Virginia. In addition, ThompsonGas retained all of Sun Propane’s employees.

“We’re very proud to welcome Sun Propane’s customers and employees into the ThompsonGas family,” says Randy Thompson, CEO of ThompsonGas. “Over the last decade, we have acquired several propane providers and will continue to do [so] when we feel the opportunity is available.”

This marks ThompsonGas’ second acquisition in 2016, as the company acquired Beckett Gas Co. based in Cameron, Missouri, in January. ThompsonGas serves more than 90,000 customers in 15 states.
