UGI Corp. subsidiary appoints VP of government affairs

UGI Energy Services LLC, a subsidiary of AmeriGas parent company UGI Corp., added Pamela A. Witmer to its team as vice president of government affairs.

Witmer previously worked for five years as a Pennsylvania public utility commissioner. During her time with the commission, Witmer served on the advisory council for the North American Energy Standards Board and the Communications Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council of the Federal Communications Commission.

As vice president of government affairs, Witmer will represent UGI Energy Services’ interests before public officials and regulatory agencies. She will also educate stakeholders on a variety of energy issues and provide strategic counsel to new and existing customer projects.

UGI Energy Services markets natural gas, electricity and liquid fuels to about 43,000 customers in nine states and Washington, D.C. The company also operates a variety of midstream assets, including propane and butane storage facilities.
