UGI Energy Services names new president

UGI Energy Services President Bradley C. Hall plans to retire after a 34-year career with the company, which is a subsidiary of UGI Corp.

Hall joined UGI in 1982 and started at the company with roles in marketing and rates, and he later moved on to lead UGI’s corporate development program in 1994. Hall oversaw the company’s expansion into Europe and began UGI’s natural gas marketing business. He was named president of the Energy Services segment in 1995.

“Brad has contributed tremendous leadership and vision to UGI during his career with the company,” says John L. Walsh, president and CEO of UGI. “In addition to his numerous business achievements, he is an outstanding colleague who has mentored many other leaders within the organization and championed our participation in the United Way. We thank Brad for his exemplary service to the company and wish him a happy and well-earned retirement.”

Joseph L. Hartz, COO at UGI Energy Services, will take over as president of the company on March 6. Hartz joined UGI in 1985 as an accountant within the utility business. He joined Energy Services in 1995 where he has served as vice president of assets and supply, CFO and COO.

“We are delighted that Joe Hartz, a proven leader with deep industry and company experience, will be succeeding Brad,” Walsh adds. “We are confident that Joe will continue to excel in his new role and serve the company with distinction, as he has for over 30 years.”

UGI Energy Services, a subsidiary of UGI Corp., markets natural gas, electricity and liquid fuels, as well as operates midstream assets in the Mid-Atlantic region. UGI Corp. is a distributor and marketer of energy products and services. It is the sole general partner and owns 26 percent of AmeriGas Partners.
