Ultrasonic gas meter tracks storage efficiency

Designed and UL-approved specifically for LP gas vapor, Cavagna Group’s Prodigi ultrasonic smart gas meter provides remote monitoring and a customer interface similar to other utilities. It optimizes deliveries and provides a tool to control overall storage efficiency, according to the company. The ultrasonic gas meter is used for domestic or small commercial applications with a maximum allowable operating pressure of 4.3 psi, allowing it to be used in both 11-in. WC and 2 psi operating systems. Two models differ only in communication method, using either LoRaWAN or NB-IoT/LTE (cellular). The gas meter uses a static measurement technology without any moving parts and includes an ultrasonic sensor designed to accurately measure propane vapor in cu. ft. or cu. m.
